Pretty Shady was established in Sydney, NSW, in the summer of 2013. Our aim is to be part of the generation that stops skin cancer one summer at a time
As it stands, Australia has the highest rate of skin cancer in the world. It’s the most common cancer affecting young Australians and thousands are dying each year. In fact, two in three of your friends will be diagnosed at some point in their lives. But change can happen. Stopping sun damage stops 95% of melanomas.
By sharing this knowledge, taking positive action and encouraging others to do the same, we believe our generation can make a difference. That lives can be saved.
This year, we’ll be releasing five good-looking items that protect you from the sun. Each one reflects a positive action towards the prevention of skin cancer — shade, clothing, hats, sunglasses and sunscreen. Gary Pepper Girl, Anthony Lister, Gossling, Corbin Harris and Ellie-Jean Coffey launched the first five items and you could get them for free, from this site. But even if you don’t get Pretty Shady, you can still be Pretty Shady.
Share your knowledge, take and encourage positive action and be part of the generation that stops skin cancer one summer at a time.
